Suffered in silence, never asked for help, Derek took his own life leaving behind his wife, two young boys, his parents, brother and so many friends and family members that loved and adored him.

A pillar of strength, Derek was the perfect husband and best dad.

He left behind, emptiness, unanswered questions, unfillable voids, hurt and sadness.

If only he knew the destruction that his decision would have on the lives of those that loved him. We would never understand the pain that he was living in. All we can do is remind ourselves that he is no longer in pain and walking with the angels in heaven.

It is with his memory that this foundation is formed with hopes that it will help save lives and break the stigma associated with Mental Illness and Suicide.
